CENSUS FILMS
These tables have been graciously provided by Sam
Gibson, volunteer at the Santa Monica FHC. Besides being a volunteer,
he has spent a tremendous amount of his "spare" time
entering all this data.
Use these tables to find the film number(s) of the parish for
a given census year. For the 1841 and 1851 census there were two
different filmings done; the first in 1952 and the second in 1982.
After 1851 there is only one filming per census. The 1881 census
is currently the only one that has been indexed. There are four
indexes: Surname, First name, as enumerated and by parish of Birth.
I believe that most FHC's that have the census also have the indexes
for that census.
There is also a list of those that have CENSUS STREET INDEXES
for each of the census years.
